So purchasing shaving equipment, I’ve realized is a kind of addiction. When you are a child you want to shave, and then when you start it’s really awesome for a while but then becomes a chore, but one that you must do every day just to feel normal. Then you get a crazy 5+ blade razor that looks like a spaceship and requires batteries for some reason and it’s awesome for a while but soon becomes bland. Then you switch to an old school safety razor (which still looks like a spaceship) with one blade and an assortment of necessary accessories and shaving becomes brutal and manly again, but only for a little while. Then you switch to a straight razor and if you don’t kill yourself with it I’m sure it feels pretty good.
Projection: In a few years I’ll be using obsidian flakes soft-hammered off of a core before each shaving session.
