My new favorite thing to do is respond to the endless “Does anyone know if we’re supposed to do [this or that]?” and “The [this or that] isn’t working for me, is anyone else able to do it?” questions on Blackboard with a hearty “It’s not just you.”

On the other hand though I totally know how it feels to not know what to do (every day) but I don’t go around asking the entire class about it, because I know that none of them know either.

Last week I had to email the gal that teaches my class because we are required to upload assignments with an extremely specific file naming system, but all examples of how to do it are tailored to assignments completed by one person. So when I was confronted with uploading a group assignment I emailed The Gal with the most clear question I could write concerning this topic. I made sure that absolutely no language was ambiguous and that she would be able to immediately know what I was talking about.

But of course she sent me an answer that had nothing to do with the question I asked. I ended up submitting the file with only my partner’s name in the filename so that if all else failed at least she would get the credit. Ultimate self-sacrifice.
