First World Problems

I’m trying to actually do well in school this semester (and beyond) because, oh jeeze! I need to get into grad school. So I’m actually committing myself to doing class readings, which I have never done. This is hard to explain, but I have two rooms and a loft area because I’m an only child. One of these rooms is my bedroom, the other is where my computer and everything else is, and the loft is where the T.V. and video games are.

I can’t do my readings in my bedroom because I’ve made it light-tight and it’s completely dark in there all the time. Plus there’s no where to sit, it’s just a bed and I’m all concerned about back problems in my future so I don’t read in bed.

I can’t do my readings in my computer room because I’m too distracted by that fascinating machine. In fact, I am on the computer right now instead of doing my readings.

So I’ve designated the loft area as my Homework Village. It’s perfect, except I can hear the T.V. from downstairs so well that I can’t concentrate, and right now my mom is watching something on CMT about Taylor Swift and I hate her. So I’m in my room (I call the computer room “my room” and my bedroom “my bedroom”) trying to do my readings.
