The restoration of fragmentary bones is often described as more difficult than...

So work is interesting, if not devastating on my body. At first they only gave me very few hours, 4 hours a day 4 days a week, but now I work some 10 hour days. I’ve had to stand on my feet for hours before, but for some reason it’s really getting to my back. I just got home from work and want to lay down and do nothing, but I’ve got so much school stuff to do.
I just did dirty things to the GRE
I took a chance and registered for the new fangled GRE and went in blind, having not studied for it at all.
A while back I had taken a kaplan practice test of the old version and scored so low I’m pretty sure they had to invent new numbers. So I just figured I was beyond hope and that I wouldn’t study for the real thing.
But nope. The computer based GRE was almost unreasonably...
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful...
Me new lowest level manager is around my age, and as such he only communicates through texts and uses the common texting parlance. He has the same name as another friend of mine so I’ve nicknamed him Lil’ Boss to avoid confusion.
The following is an exchange over text:
Lil’ Boss: Are u free today Me: Sorry no, about to take the GRE. Lil’ Boss: K and tomorrow Me: Tomorrow...
I should really start blogging about psychology related things instead of just whatever. It’s something I’ve been planning to do for a while. Maybe I’ll work on a stress management post to be published in the next few weeks.
On another note, who the hell eats Raisinets? You can’t even tell there are raisins inside.
$$$$$
I’m pretty much the worst person when it comes to dealing with money. I tend to just throw it all away. A few years ago I blew all the money in my bank account that my parents had been saving for me since I was a baby. Then I blew every cent I made from work instead of saving again.
So as I start my new job I’m trying to be a little bit more conscious of the whole thing. I created a...
And this is why I hate calling people
I just called my future manager to ask him a question about tomorrow. It went to his voicemail. Then a second later he called me back but when I picked up the phone I accidentally ended the call. So I called him back but it went to voicemail again.
It’s interesting to me how people sort of come and go into our lives. As if each of us is leisurely strolling a path that intersects every so often. There are people who I once was certain I’d never see again, but now it seems like we’ll always be not so far away from each other.
Starting my fast food job next week
When half of my face inevitably gets burned off in a grease fire accident should I go the Phantom of the Opera route, and wear a mask, or the Two Face route and just let it all hang out?
No good deed goes unpunished
I went to the bank today to get some paperwork that I’ll have to show my new employer tomorrow and on the way back I decided to stop at Sonic to get something to eat. While I was ordering I noticed a very crisp $20 bill on the ground. I picked it up and considered keeping it, but figured that one of the Sonic people probably dropped it so when the guy came to give me my food I gave it to...
Nothing I can do.
I frequently get email sent to me that is actually meant for people who have the same name as me and similar email addresses. And for some reason it’s always something extremely private, like PDFs of tax information.
A few days ago I got some information for a job interview, which is weird because it was a place I had interviewed for years ago. Anyway, today I got this:
Poor guy...
You’re not wrong in making that interpretation until you say it out loud...
