Lenore
Once upon a time, in 7th grade. . , My best friend brought some comic books to school; they were called Lenore. I haven’t heard of them since, they were made by the same guy who would go on to do Invader Zim. Anyway, they were these delightfully dark humored comics about death and dying. Eventually my friend and I worked something out and I bought the comics, of which there were three, for 7...
moriahgaribay asked: no shit your're from san antonio!.....sorry i just wanted to say im from there. My question is how did you get such a big following on tumblr?
tjMax
I’ve been on Tumblr so long, I remember someone posted years ago that the max # of people you could follow was 50-60 before the conversations got muddled and lost in each other. And he was right for a while. I think at the time I was following 90 people and it was hard to keep up. Now I follow almost 400 of you guys and it’s been ok so far. Sometimes when I wake up I have to wade...

A Special Connection
Me: My mom and I were in the living room and my dad comes in and says "Did you know Gary Coleman died?" and my mom says "Yes." and then my dad just turns around and goes back into the bedroom. I like to think he didn't hear it on TV, but instead he was sleeping and suddenly knew.
James: lol, Your father had a special connection to Gary Coleman.

On the loving paintbrush
When a painter is in love, everything he paints is of that person. He could paint a tree, but at its core would be who his heart adores, For when a painter is in love, the colors of the world change.
Nobody Saw This Movie

The Failure
In 2nd grade my teacher and the teacher next door joined forces to hold a competition once a month. They pit us, their students against one another. The idea was simple, at the beginning of the month a topic would be decided on and we would have until the end of the month to amass as much information and knowledge of the subject as possible. Each teacher would then select the student who knew the...

Like a Boss
One time in 1st grade I got a nosebleed during a test and I didn’t even do anything about it. I just kept taking that test. I was scared of going up to the teacher because I thought she’d be like “Yeah, right, you caused your nosebleed on purpose to get out of the test!! Automatic F for you, HAHAHA!!!!”
So when I turned in the test it was all bloody. Nobody said anything...

Coming Out
One of my worst fears is that of bugs coming out of things.
Anything really, literally or figuratively.
Like I have a fear of pouring a cup out into the sink and instead of liquid coming out it’s bugs!
Or in the shower instead of water coming out it’s BUGS!
Or turning a rock over and bugs coming out of hiding!
Or tipping over my shoe and bugs coming out! I’m paranoid that...

The Flow
Psychologists use the term ‘Flow’ to describe one of the fundamental aspects of being happy in life.
Any athlete can tell you exactly what Flow is without ever having taken a psychology course. The most vocal about the Flow are competitive runners. People who run many miles a day; people who feel off if they go a day without running. The Flow is what happens when you reach that...

VAJ
Sometimes, especially late at night when the melancholia sets in, I think about my two best friends and our relationship to each other. I relive our entire story up to the present. When I’m done the sense of euphoria trumps all else. You see, we have a very good story…
It was freshman year of high school. Not only that, it was the first day of freshman year and I knew no one. I went...

Honest to God
If you knew for a fact that you were going to hell when you died. What 3 people would you choose to team up with in order to overthrow Satan and become the new rulers of hell?
Note that you can choose any three people living or dead.

A public catalog of depression and despondency.
This post is going to be very personal, I apologize in advance to my regular readers. I’m posting this in such a public forum as a form of therapy, and to study its effects in myself at a later date. As I’ve mentioned a few times earlier, I recently broke up with my girlfriend who I had been with for 4 years. In the weeks leading up to our breakup, I was worried that when it did...

The Sea
So my friend is going to Cancun on a mini vacation, WITHOUT his girlfriend. I find the entire situation hilarious on many levels, and even though he’s my friend I can’t help but imagine the things that would happen if our world was a fairy tale.
Picture this:
Andrew bids farewell to his girlfriend as she stands on the dock, his boat receding into the distance.
A short time...
