I’ve had this whole tax thing drastically wrong. I thought that if your AGI was $10,000 and your deductions were $5,000, then you would recieve a tax refund of $5,000. In other words, if you used your personal money for school/business related expenses you would have to pay for them now but in the end get that money...

I just watched the second half of Masterpiece Classics Wuthering Heights because I had to go to bed early last night.
