with age
My computer is getting old. Sometimes it makes that coughing noise that a dog or cat makes before it’s about to throw up when I try to open the disc tray.
i think i've finally fixed my wireless internet....

Would it be crazy if someone reblogged something and then basically wrote an entirely new post underneath it, not even commenting or mentioning the original blog at all? They would call it Tumbl Jacking or something like that. Would that be weird, because I guess you’d be kind of happy that someone reblogged you but then you’d look at it and it’s...

The Super Secret One-Handed Password Generation Technique!!!
I’ve been meaning to make this video for a while, excuse the sluring, stuttering, and false starts. If you don’t have hands you can use your feet.

Jacob: I just finished one
James Gutierrez: Ewww!
Jacob: oh please! Henry James is the best
Jacob: The King of the Novella
James Gutierrez: Psshh...
James Gutierrez: John Steinbeck.
Jacob: did he write many short stories?
James Gutierrez: Yes.
Jacob: Well I'm sure they were all gay
Superhuman abilities I'd like to have
The ability to float—not fly—just float. Like 2 inches off the ground. That would be sweet.
Really superhard fingernails. Hard enough to pierce a watermelon if I so desired.

Just realized that I no longer follow some people even though I never clicked unfollow.

Where does your Tumblr name come from?
Mine was the first thing I thought of when I heard of Tumblr. I immediately wished I had picked TumblDry instead. Incidentally my actual Tumblr Username was at first JNM.Tumblr.com, and then it switched to JacobM.tumblr.com and then to Tumbl-me.tumblr.com because someone already had tumblme.tumblr, (I thought of it first, really). But I do own...
So it basically went down like this

online speed reading application
I first encountered this technology in 2005, it was an application for cell phones so you could sit and read a book no matter how small your screen was. The linked to site isn’t the best implementation I’ve seen. What makes or breaks this type of reading is whether the program knows how to properly handle commas and periods.

Someday A Real Rain Will Come And Wash All The...
Yesterday on my campus I walked past a corner hidden in the shadows.
Before I reached it I could hear a bunch of guys talking.
I got a glimpse of them as I walked by, they were a bunch of punk kids.
Scenarios quickly filled my mind of what they could be doing.
- Drugs?
- Stabbing an old lady?
As I got closer I could hear what they were saying.
They were having a discussion about Buddhism,...

That’s actually chronological order. Anyway! I used IE up until I found Firefox (2003-04), and switched between Firefox and Camino up until this year when I went exclusively to Safari.
Hmm… you’re right. I always get confused because I read lists from top to bottom. (most of the time)

Jamba Juice Seductress
vinh:
There’s a Jamba Juice adjacent to my venue that I pay daily morning visits to before I come into work. Lately, there’s been this girl who works there who gives me the stare. It’s a stare that is a blend of the, “Hey, I think you’re attractive. Want to share a cake or something?” look, and “I have warrants out in three states for assaulting dudes who done me wrong.”
On Monday, she served...
Also, I'm changing my blog's name to The Candy...
Stupidest thing I've done all week.
I had some freetime before class today so I went down the street and picked a prickly pear off a cactus.
Bad idea. I spent the entire rest of my day picking out the needles that it left in my hands. I felt like that story about the lion who is really mean but really he just has a thorn in his paw.
The fruit tasted like danger. Not worth the trouble, I stained my pants (purple).

The Decemberists are amazing. I like the lead singer’s voice. It sounds amazing. I wonder if he is hot… Ehh nevermind he is like 20 something.
He’s not hot.
You can see him get stabbed in the neck here.
